According to Bloomberg, Verizon will start selling Iphones from January 2011. If true this will end the exclusive contract that Apple had with AT&T since the Original Iphone. This news will come at no surprise to Europeans who can already choose from 2 or in the cause of the UK customers 4 carriers to get their Iphone. Vodafone which part owns Verizon already sells the Iphone 4 and Iphone 3Gs in most of their markets including the UK. Verizon will launch the new LTE (Long Term Evaluation) 4G network to compete with Sprint and may use Iphone as a launchpad.
This is great news for people who want the Iphone4 is the U.S but can not stand AT&T's service and coverage in their area. However if true a new model may need to be produced with the CDMA standard that is used for Verizon instead of the regular GSM version.
Will this mean we see more advertisement like this or the usual Apple ads
