UrbanSpoon, which is one of the largest restaurant recommendation applications on the iPhone, has just received an awesome update that adds a check in feature called âDineline.â This feature is designed to help users keep track of their dining habits and remember meals they have enjoyed. The update will be rolling out on the app store any minute now, and may well be out by the time you read this.
With the update there will now be a check in button allowing users to enter the where and when of your latest meal. You can also add a photo, price, notes and whether or not you liked it. This information will be saved in the âdinelineâ section of the app for future reference.
Once you have used the feature for a while, the application will give you charts and graphs that detail your favorite foods and places to eat. Itâs a very useful tool for keeping track of your eating habits.
Unlike Foursquare and other check in applications, this doesnât have to be done the moment you are at the restaurant. You can add it whenever you want because it isnât a game where you are competing against friends. These check ins are for your own knowledge. You can, however, share your check ins with Twitter if you should so choose.
